American Idol Season

Yeap guys, is the American Idol season. By now, most of you would have caught the 24 contestants performance from the last two days. I must say these year, the competition is really tough and close. Just base on the performance wise, it will be hard to just choose 6 guys, 6 girls to go for the top 12. Like Paula mentioned yesterday guys performance, "can we have more than 6 guys?". True, the guys did must better (in terms of vocal) as compare to the girls. Was kinda dissapointed with the girls performance. Some of them really choose the wrong song. Don't even make me start on the one who sang Diana Ross song, When You Tell Me That you Love Me. I am sure Diana will be cliching her fist in her mouth when she heard that. Gosh, was totally horrible. Brenna Gether, whats with her attitude?? Not even top 12, already showing all the DIVA sign. And the way her body language exudes, shaking head left and right like those true ghetto style ....eh hello, balik lar!! And whats wrong with the other guy who chose to sing Barry Manilow song, Cobacabana?? Hellooo!!!!! u r in the Idol contest for gawd sake!!Not a hawaiian dance party!! What on earth u thinking?? And that hip-trust thingy, c'on, once is enuf mate, don't hv to keep on doing it few rounds.

Was Simon Corwell critique harsh? I don't think so. Infact i totally agree with him. We are talking bout goin for the top 12 ppl, u just have to show your best!! "OK" is just not good enuf at this stage. Not all was bad afterall, some really did excel! Lets start with the girls, the first performance or Ms-need-a-bigger-stage Mandissa, she was just superb!! She really rock the house down!! She will have my vote. Same goes to the 17yo gurl, Ms Paris Bennet, when she talk, her voice is like Minnie Mouse, but when she sings....my gawd...i was just spellbound with her performance that night. And the atlethic backetball player, Ayla Brown, now she really comes a surprise to me. She really doesn't have that singer-star look, but she really nil it down this time. Infact simon was pretty impressed with her vocal performance. By the way, i think she is the tallest among the gurls. Even one-head taller than the hosr Ryan seacrest! haha!

As for the guys. WOW!!! hard to pick men. just hard. Almost everyone did their best except 1 or 2 which i think choses the wrong song. Noteworthy mention here would be Mr Sway, his falsetto voice singing Stevie Wonder song Reason, was just brilliant. He really did justice to that song. He reminds me one of the current male singer, i can't remember his name, he did a remake of the old-time favourite songMore Than Words. The other chap would be Mr Kevin Covais. Yeap, he sang Brian Knights One Last Cry, i get goosebump just listening him singing that song. The way he deliver the song, is just so poised, genuine and sincere. I can really feel the song men!! His father was in the audience and u can really see how touched his father was, until tears start to fall. The other person would be Mr Father-figure himself Ace Young (annie, yes yr fav!!). This guy really got the competition one notch higher in standard. With the flawless delivery of the song and the look!, hehehe sure will have all the females and not forgetting the guys votes for sure. Elliot Yamin, the guy which Simon says he has the best idol voice from all the 5 seasons of Idol. Now, i think that comment is a bit too big hat for Yamin to take at this juncture. U r indirectly saying he is the winner liow. He is oklar to me. Boleh tahan lar...But not really the best loh. Last but not least, my fav of them all, since the audition till now, Mr Taylor Hick. Now guys, this is one guy u will need to watch out in days to come. I will bet my ass and d**k he will be in the top 12!! Men, what more can you get with that kinda performance he did and also to end the show!! I just love him!! love him!! love him!! love him!!!

Ok, i ahve said enuf. Below are my top 12 picks, base on my favourites. Lets keep finger cross i will get atleast 80% spot-on when the announcemnt is make this evening.

Time well spent

Yesterday evening was one of those days when i can fully utilised my gym membership, almost spend my entire evening in the gym hiak! Left office round 4pm ish, head down to subang summit and did BodyPump. Was a good class, although i must admit was struggling during the chest and shoulder work-out. Can see our dear friend yw2k and lollipop was laffing at me from outside the studio. Must give my respect to the instructor, with that kinda body size and yet he can lift more weights than me...hiak!

Right after the class was my BJAM class. Yesterday there wasn't many members in the class and was a bit quiet as compare to other time. Do not know why, although i did try my best to bring up the class. The second bloke was fun to say the least, got a new jam baby to do the track and for the performance i drag another baby up on the stage and let them have thier glory..hahah. Err..Mr-yellow-nike-shoe, didn't know u were wearing slipper, but i guess u had yr fair share of fun eh? :) As for the so-called cili-padi gurl, u did a good job for a first timer conducting a class all by herself!! Keep it up!

After the class i rush down to subang Cosplant and conducted the Rockstar class. The crowd was there. And abit surprised too since is kinda late class and yet there are many ppl yesterday. I must say after doing few blocks with the gang, i realised they catch up pretty fast!!. After thought few classes i too find myself kinda sink in with the choreo and was abit more comfortable with the moves. (minus some hiccups..heheh) . I was pretty happy with the class yesterday, atleast i can see the members in cosplant really try to learn up the blocks and didn't really give up half-way.

When the class was over, i hv to rush all the way down to Sri Hartamas to attend a demo practise. By the time i reached there was bout 10ish. And when it was my turn to the BJam track, i was ask to teach the other instructors who is part of the demo on the Cha-Cha-Heel and Bug-A-Boo + Let's get it started moves. Gosh!! imagine teaching combat and balance instructor to dance movement in just 15mins. LOL!!! it was a hillarious!! Will see how they fair tonight when i go for the second practice.

By the time all this was over, i drove back home, head str8 to the shower, had my dinner, switch on the tele, and there i go, slump onto the sofa watching the American Idol while muching away the left-over CNY cookies...hahaha. aaahhh....what a life. :).....Yes, this morning when i woke-up, my whole body is acheing....ouch!

How vain can a guy get these day??

Was rushing for my last class yesterday afternoon. Walk into the changing room, got all my stuff and put the bag into the locker. On my way out from the changing room, didn't really paying much attention to this one guy who was in the midst of styling his hair. So i went down, fill-up my bottle and went str8 to the studio waiting hall. Then i realised i forgot to take my cap. So i decided to walk up to the changing room to get the cap. Took the cap, was walking out, when i realised the same guy that i saw earlier was still styling his hair. Again as usual, i didnt really think bout it and walk out and head to the studio. Since i hv some spare time b4 my next class commence, i decided to sit down and just hang around for awhile. I think i hve sat like almost 5 mins or so and was comtemplating should i bring my Creative ZEN down n listen to some songs. Finally, i decided to do just that and i walk up to the changing room. Now guys, all this while, i think i hve spend like 5 - 8 mins walking up and down from teh changing room. And to my surprise, my third trip to the changing room, the same guy who i saw earlier on was still infact styling his hair!!! How vain can a guy get these days ?? i got my Zen, walk out from the changing room, but this time i actaully look at him and shake my head and walk off....hiak!!:)

Now guys, how long does it take for you to style your hair every morning? My is less than a min!! What about u guyz ?

Concert Time

Good day ppl. Being busy for the couple of a days. Morning was running some personal errands. And afternoon hv to attend meeting and meeting. Never ending story. Anyway, just wanna blog something that i bought these morning after my class in cheras. When to a cd shop and bought myself the cd compilation of Leo Ku and Miriam Yeong. By know all the chinese music fan will know next week, both of the singers will be holding their first concert together in KL. As a fan of these two singers, moi has bought the tickets during the CNY week. Is being awhile since i have watch concert in Malaysia. If my memory serves me well, i think the last concert i caught was Sandy Lam concert in Genting. That was like 2 years ago. Really looking forward for next week concert. Hope is gonna be a great one!!

I have also attached the song listing of the cd. One obvious omission from the listing is Leo Ku signature tune - Fung Lok Kam Siew. No idea why it is not included in the compilation. As for Miriam Yeung, my fav will be the Siuw Si Tai Chi, track number 4. ( i hope i spelt it correctly!). Infact it is such my fav that i will jsut buy the cd just for that one song! Infact this song has two version, one sang by her and the other sang by Jacky Cheung. I personally felt Miriam Yeung version is far much better than Jacky version. Dunno why. Guess the way she sing, very gentle yet there is a sense of melancholy feel to it. Highly recommded choice guys.

Whoa!! What an eventful weekend...

Yeah!! Just Exhilirating!. First was the friday night launch of the hip-hop dance event. Took me almost 2 1/2 hours just to reach KL that night. Traffic was bumper-to-bumper and with the earlier downpour, it just didn't help much! Reached destination on the dot. Without wasting anytime, rush to the changing room, put on my sponsored apparells and str8 head to the main studio and gosh what a sight!! Inside the studio was filled with members all eagerly waiting for the dance to launch. Was told that night there were like 70+ members registered for the event. The head instructor did an intro of all the instructors involved. Since i was late, i missed out that introduction. But it was ok. Not that they know me anyway hiak. The lighting was just something special for that night. Instead of using the normal studio lights, they exchange it with the spotlights and camera lights. The atmosphere is like u r going for the great dance party!! By the time the whole thing was ended, can see everyone was sweating profusely, tired but the most important of all, happy! Yeah. I personally fill this is one of the best dance i have done so far. But whether the member can follow and enjoy the entire dance sequence, that is yet to be seen.

Did my first class in cheras on sunday late afternoon. Member turnout was very engaraging. About 50+ in total. I was abit nervous since i dind't really fully prepared for the class, blame it on my pure laziness! hiak! Screw up abit on the warm-up and the routine block. The warm-up itself i took bout 30 mins of the time. So when comes to the routine part, i only manage to do likee 8 - 9 blocks out of the total 27 blocks. Anyway, base on the member responce, i can be certain they did enjoyed the class. But whether they will come back for a next session that is a big question. It will be too early to say whether this has been a successfull event. Will have to wait till the end of the week and see how many members turn up for the second sessions. (keep finger cross). Again after going thru the launch and the last class yesterday, i can savely say i will not dissapoint you guys who wanna learn up the dance move. I will definately brush up my dance move (to look more hip-hop) and also memorise the blocks for this coming weeks to come. No more screw up!! ehehhe....

Oh, on another note. I did received some nice compliments from member indicatin that night launch, that i do look good with the sponsored apparells. Hmm....If any of the sponsors are reading this blog now...ahem....u know what to do yeah......(although i do think those member who gave me the compliments are blind!! hahahhah) wink wink

Beep Beep RockStar!! Here i come!!

It's about 30mins left b4 i pack my notebook and stuff n head down to KL for the big night. Incase some of you loyal readers have no idea what i am referrin to, tonight is the lauch of the dance program that i have been blabberin about since weeks back. Is gonna be held in one of the ever-famous (for all the wrong reasons..hiak) gym centre in downtown.

Heard from the organiser that they are actually planning to make it "BIG" for this launch. Judging by the itenary that i saw these afternoon, seems to be really a biggie event tonight. For a start, all the selected instructors are given a pair of shoes and a set of workout apparels, all sponsored by the organisor (don't take a genious to figure it out by now who is the organisor that i am referring ;p) . The head instructor will be given a totally new look from the hair to the make-up and attire. Registration will start round 7pm ish at the centre. Heard there will be balloons and DJs at the main hall to give that kinda party feel. The actual event will start at 8.45pm and the rest is history.

Due to my nature of work, i have been missing a couple of trainings with the gang. ( i have yet to touch the video instruction since the last training way b4 CNY..hiak hiak) i can feel my hand is cold and the idea of having to memories all the moves in such a short time, 2 days to be exact, since my first class will be this coming sunday morning, seems like is an impossible task to do. But then again, after watching Madonna performance yesterday in the Grammy, my passion for dancing had just upped a notch. If only i can dance has half as good as the backup dancers, i'll be so content. at this juncture i am thinking if i am as old as Madonna, will i be still look as good as how she look on stage?...hmmm....scary thought aint it? hahahaha Anyway ppl, time for me to log out and set my foot down to KL. I really hope is gonna be a successfull launch and i am greatfull that i hv been given a chance to be part in this event. To Melissa (if she ever has the chance to read this blog), thank you so much.

Fashion Sense

Hi ppl. Is being awile since my last blog. CNY holiday was good! Had a nice deserve rest and leisure. Didn't wanna blog bout the CNY stuff since i guess almost every other bloggers will be doing that for sure. So instead, today i have to mood to blog something else interesting that i came across these morning.

Q : What is the connection between Madonna, Mary J. Blige and Nike Women?

The answer to that question is Corsett!! Yeap, you know fashion comes and go and tends to repeat itself or u might wanan put it bluntly, recycle!! Every year, every season, there will be a certain "IN" thing that everyone shud have wehn comes to fashion style. And these season, the fashion style is corsett!!

I first came to know bout this was when i got myselfs involved in the dance performance thingy that i mentioned earlier in my blog. Apparently the sponsor did show us some of the new clothing line that was specially design for this dance performance project. Mind you this design are merely for womens. You can actually see some of the design as shown below....

We were actually caught by surprise that the ladies are gonna wear this. According to the marketing manager, apparently this kidna corsett design is the IN thing for these fashion season. Well, to justify that statement, was watching Grammy this morning and guess what, Madonna (her performance was AWESOME!!! like the slow-mo dance sequence) and Mary J.Blige performance, both of them wore.......SURPRISE!!.......corsett design top.....

So, there you have it ppl. To all the fashionista ppl, pls go grab yrself a corsett and strut your stuff for tmrw big launch in SPK hahaha. As for you sno[wolf] and penny, won't able to help u sno[wolf], but if our fren penny gonna wear corsett thingy, i m sure is gonna be a sight to be hold!!! hahahah
