Why so slow......

Lately, the Blogger is either system down or very slow in responce. That explain my non-existance new blog entry here. And you guys should know, not like everyday i have interesting stuff to write or blog about. Everytime when i feel like there is something i wanan blog, either the system is slow, or is down...Sigh....Anyway, weekend is just round the corner guys. Those who are into movies, Superman Return has finally arrives in our cineplexes. Will be catching it tmrw. Have not read any reviews or heard any feedback bout the movie. Lets hope it lift up to all the hypes and excitement.

Last weekend was in A-Famosa resort for my company Away trip. Nothing much to shout about. The place is pretty dead!! Thank gawd we have World Cup during this time, else i have no idea how am i gonna past the night. Give me another night i might even go ga-ga! Oh yes, i watch one of the matches during that night, between Germany and .......(go figure). Germany got 3 goals for that match. Hahah...Was force to watch the game by my roommate. Since he has been so nice to me during the day, guess thats the over way to pay him back. Company him and sat thru 2 hours watching the game.

Besides that, we went for the safari theme ride. (which is a big joke!!). Just bcos u have 5 tigers, 2 giraffes, some buffalos, one or two lions, chicken (which has its own chicken farm), some turtles and lots of koi fish...and some other animals, it call itself a Safari theme place.......Anyway, took some of the animal pictures, . The place also do have a venue called Cowboy Town....Don't think i need to elaborate more on that matter....hhehehe.. Pictures will do the trick. will post it in my next entry, left my camera in my house. But for the consolation prize, here is the group photo taken from the Away Day......

Ok guys, last but not least, thanks for all the comments and inputs. Lets not stop there, more inputs/comments are very much welcome. It will be a long weekend for me, since i am off tmrw. Planning to go for shopping spree....heheheh...Till next week, have a great weekend ppl.

Are we doing the right thing?

Third time happened to me having to type half way through the blog and my screen suddenly just went blank!! #$*&#*&@*#!!!!…take a deep breath……exhale………

Anyway, last I mentioned from the “disappearance” blog entry, I have some spare time these morning, since I am the only person in the department, else the rest of my colleague are either on training or on-leave…(yippie!!!) Had a very exciting morning to start off my day. The moment I step into the office, the fire alarm went off and everyone has to assemble at the front garden area. Was not a real fire alarm drill. Do not know what was the caused, neither did I see any smoke coming out from the rooftop while we were standing outside. After 15mins or so, the fire Marshall announced that we can go back into the office. Well, guess was a false alarm. Then,, as usual, boot up my notebook, went down to have my b’fast. The moment I found a place to sit, the fire alarm went off again!!! Aiks!!! What am I gonna do with my rotibakar and milo-kosong-ice?!?!. Me and my friends were like looking at each other likea dump-blonde! Hiak!!! Than the central announcement came out and announce that it was a false alarm….again!!..Phew..at that moment in time, we were like more concern as to what are we gonna do with the food rather than our lives!!! So salah……….

Looking forward for weekend, cause it’s our departmental annual Get-Away day. These year they have decided to go to A-Famosa resort in Malacca. Now, don’t ask me why they decided to go there instead of other places. Looking at the itenary, one of the activity that we are going to do during the trip will be the Night Safari thingy. The only night safari that I went was my last trip to Singapore, and that was like almost 8 years ago. On one hand, I am excited cause this will be my first away-trip gathering in this company, ever since I joined end of last year. On the other side, I am not too thrill about the venue that we are heading. But I guess I just have to look at the bright side and see what is in store. Will definitely blog about that when I back.

We are in our 3rd week of doing the Bjam new releases. Have been getting lots of feedback from members on this round of release. Majority are saying is not one of their favourites and infact some of the members have already started to request the instructor to change tracks or even asking when we are going to teach the new block. This is something I really felt not comfortable about. I don’t know about other instructors or even instructors that already started to teach the new blocks (which I have heard from the grapevine they did). But in my opinion, I don’t think we, as instructors should succumb to members demand or request. To me, I felt the new release is one of the toughest todate interms of getting the choreo rights. And now we are only like 3rd weeks and we have to change inorder to accommodate the members liking? Hmm…don’t u think something is not right here? Not like they have already master the choreo whether we are referring to the armlines or the foot-work, and yet members are already getting bored with the tracks. Where went wrong? Are we, the instructors really showing the right movements and the right way of getting the full satisfaction from the dance move? And why some instructors are so keen on changing tracks or even starting the new blocks when it is clearly stated that we can only start teaching the new blocks after the 3rd week or so. That is also if u felt is time to change. During the early days when I am still a member and a Bjam freak. I don’t see the instructors changing tracks so early. And yet we still enjoy doing those track for like amonth or so. To me, we as the instructor, have to really educate the members as to how to get the right way inorder to experience the full dance feeling in every releases. How to immerse oneself into the dance movement and music. And this is what I am not seeing in the members for this release. And since members can’t really feel the music or the movement, there is no fun in it. And when there is no fun, that’s when members feel is time to change to something else. Having said this, are we doing the right thing here? To change as per member request, or to educate the members and do the right thing?

Referee Black

I guess this is the only encountered i have with the World Cup 2006. The McDonald 2006 FIFA World Cup Official Mascot......

It's finally OVER!!

Yeap, its finally over guyz! The 2nd quarterly Les Mills launches are finally over!! Kapish!!! I'm so glad the moment we did the last cooldown track for BAttack. Could breath out sign of relieve. After weeks of practice and torturing oneself to input all the choreo notes, we have finally succedded (90%) to meet what we intended to achieve. Was the launch a success? Well, i must say as compare to the last quarter, this round i felt the launched was much much better. Whether you are doing BJam or Bcombat or BBalance, everyone seems to be in thier best form. I do know my BJAM lauched was great!! ofcos minus some hiccup during the last jazzy block. But overall i felt the team really did a good job!! Kudos to gurls who put in all thier effort and energy. As for Battack wise, i reckon it was also good, knowing hte fact we didn't really have the chance to meet up and practice those tracks together b4 the launch. Mind you, i only learn up my 2 allocated tracks on the day of the launch!! hahahah!! Tension, pressure, stress anything you name it, i have it. Eventually all the hard work does pay off. To see how much the members enjoyed doing the class, how much effort your team-mates put into the launch, you won't wanna change anything or substitute with any other matters. I really hope i can put some pics to show you guys. Still waiting for the gxc to extract those photos from the camera. Hope to load it up ASAP. :)

Weekend is just round the corner. As a famouse chinese proverb says, One wave subsided, another wave is brewing. Now these couple of weeks and also since the day is drawing nearer, everywhere you go, everywhere you see and hear, whether you driving on the road, listening to the radio or even turning the pages from the newspaper, drinking at the mamak, all you encountered is the big 2 words WORLD CUP!!!! And tonight (malaysian time) we will be all openly embracing the World Cup 2006 opening ceremony in Germany and the first match. Total 64 matches throughout the whole 30 days. Now now now, those who are football fanatics, you ppl are just gonna have a hell of a good time. Are you a football maniac? I am not. Can't really appreciate having to sit down infront of the tele and watch 22 dickies running around in big field chasing the one and only ball. Guess is the good time to just go out and catch movies and not having to queue up for long.....i hope! hiak!!.......
