Morning blues

Was having a chat with yw2k that i should update my blog more frequently. So here i am updating my blog second time this weekend itself. Really i have nothing much interesting stuff to blog about. Normally when i blog, i try to write about things that happened directly to myself, instead of blogging something that is not relevant. And most of the time things happened, which are so minor, i don't see a need to blog about. For example, how good the American Idol was last week during the Rod Steward nights, but fail miserably yesterday on Andre Brocelli. I am sure most of you already have watched the show and know the outcome. So no point to really blog about it. Unless u wanan know who am i gonna predict to be eliminated these week. (obviously i was jumping for joy when Ace was voted out last week...kakakakka...Annie eat this!!)

Doesn't take a genious to guess that right for now. I think is about time the ever-cutie-calamary-gurl Kellie takes her toll. She really butchered the Unchained Melody tune. Can't blame her though. I think these week, the so-called mentor David Foster didn't do justice for the idols. One thing for sure, he came as if he was very hard on them. And you can actually see there isn't a sincerity comment coming out from him. All he wants is to have the idol to burst into high-notes as and when is possible. Take Kathrine performance example, no doubt she can sing. But paula is right at her comment, why bother choosing a song that is already done perfecto by the original singer and trying to make it better when you know the outcome is not that desirable. Can see Katherine was trying very hard to hit the high note. Although she did ok with the song, but at this juncture, OK is just not enough to bring u to the next level. Same goes for Paris, what is wrong with the wardrobe and the hair-do gurl? u look like u r 50s ages. Didn't the stylish saw that coming?? come on.. u r a teenager, dress like one. And the Memory song she sang....was forgettable to make it short.

Now, my fav performance for the night. It has to be the guys!!! yeah!! Elliot, Taylor, Chris. These guys did fantabulous job bringing out the song to life. Elliot performance was just flawless. Is always nice to hear this chap sings. I will definately buy his album if it does comes out one day. Taylor sang my all time favourite song from James Ingram - Just Once. TO me, i think he did pretty good with the song. Is like tehre is a different side of him we never seen b4. Don't agree with the judges says. I felt is one of his best performance so far. As for Chris, he wasn't much my fav during the early round, due to the fact that he only sings rock genre that is his comfort zone. But after last week and yesterday performance, which i think was a gem!! he can go far.....i hope....

DETOUR!! AISK!!! i just received a sms from Nokia!! Yippie!!! i just won 2 free tickets to watch the premiere of Mission Impossible 3.. YEEEEHAAARRRRR!!!!!! (jump! jump!)

The sleepless nights

Yes, yes, i admit. Have been very lazy to update my blog, although i did remind myself to always try and make the effort to update or write some gibberish stuff in here for you ppl to read. But everytime when i reach the office, i will be bombarded with all sorts of problem to solve. And by the time i finished working on those problem, i am soo sooo drain to even wanna write about what happened to me. Anyway, here are the summaries for the past week.....

These two weeks i am on standby-call. I am given phone for the purpose of the standby incase there is any problem to the system during the weekend, it will auto-page the phone and i shall work on it immediately. And for the past three nights....i received three consecutives paging, all in the wee hours of the morning!! Started off with Sat morning, when the first paging came in round 3.30am, then follow by Sun morning at 4am and the latest incident was these morning at 5am!!! i am so soo cursing. Could hardly get abck to sleep after attended to those system problem. And with the weekend classes and travelling back n forth, this fracking calls does make it worst!! And here i am now, with the panda-heavy eyes.... Staring at my notebook screen, even a passer-by would know this is not the right time to disturb me! Grrggghhhh!!........

On a lighter note, have been busy playing with my new toy, the ZEN Vision: M. So far so good, managed to toy working fine, when initially i did face some hiccups with the system requirement and software transfer. Now eveyrhting works fine. Tryin to download some trailers, music videos and singles for own pleasure......hehe..And yes, the lime gree still look sooo glam......hahahah.......

I am so HYPE!!!

Yeap!, Exhilarating, Excited, the adrenalin of having to put my hands onto my new toy. Is just soo freaking FANTABULOUS!!!, i am so so HYPE now!! hahaha. I jsut can't help it. You know the feeling when you are a little kid, u were longing for a toy that u like so much, and all of the sudden your dad or mom bought it and gives u a surprise. That feeling is just soooo freaking hype!!!Now you guys must be wondering by now, what new "toy" i have got myself ....Well, the picture below says it all............

YES!!! is the new mp3-cum-video-cum-photo player from Creative Zen Vision: M!!!
the one of the many players that is available in the market now that supports MP3, videos and photo. Most of u guys would know the other competitor will be the IPOD player, that serves the same function as well. Infact many instructors are carrying the IPOD video as compare to this Creative Zen Vision.

Now you guys must be asking, why Zen and not IPOD then? Good question. Actually i ahve done some homework myself, reading mag, surfing net and also gather information from other peers who has the IPOD. Below are the summary for your references......

1. Price : Obviously ZEN is much more cheaper as compare to IPOD Video. I got mine for RM1200 (pikom fair price lar...hehe) as for IPOD, with the same specs 30GB, is at the price of RM1499. (although i was told u can get it cheaper, Rm100-Rm200 cheaper from overseas e.g Singapore, HK or Australia)

2. Screen Resolution : ZEN support 262K colours as oppose to IPOD only has 65K colours. That explain the colour contrast ZEN is much more sharper and smooth as compare to IPOD Video.

3. Video support : ZEN supports all the video ext from Divx, Avi, Wmv, Mpeg3 to Mpeg4. As for IPOD, it only supports Mpeg4 (i was told, mpeg4 compression is pretty good, for a 3hrs show, u can compress to about 600mb)

4. Colour Casing: Yeap, u read it right. Colour casing is definately one of the criteria why i chose Zen instead of IPOD. Zen has colours from Black to white, gren to blue and pink. Whereelse, IPOD only has 2 colours, Black or White. Anyway, i got myself the Lime Green colour.....so glam, just like the picture!!! LOL!!!! (my fren was trying to influence me to get the black colour, but i end up choosing the green colour)

The only minor limitation or flaw that i can see in ZEN, obviously interm of the thickness, ZEN body is much more thicker and heavier as compare to IPOD. IPOD design is really slim and light. Thats where they gain points. But too me i am ok with the size, since i b4 i had this, i am using ZEN micro 20GB, also which has similar size and weight. So is not really a problem to me.

There you go guys. A short summary for you guys out there have yet to get the new 'toy' but toying the idea of getting one. Whatever it is, at the end of the day, is the enjoyment and satisfaction that counts. and with that, i am not gonna spend more time in here, and i shall play wiht my new toy now...Hahaha....

So, eat this!!

Still figuring out what will be my title for this blog today. Have been missing in action for the past couple of dayz. Feeling lazy to update or even log-in. Not bcos there are nothin to blog about, (aplenty!!), is just that i am too tired to even wanan think about blogging after all the stuff and things that i have done. So decided to take this morning to blog, although still feeling very tired and muscle soar from yesterday double classes and demo practice.

Last week was a hectice week for me. Gotta implement a change system. Took me about a week to figure it out how to go baout it. Was practically thinking bout the work during the weekend. Since this is my really first so-called MAJOR assignment with this new company after a long 6 months stints. Do not wanan screw it up, else it will look bad on me. So there was this kinda pressure to really succeed and proof to this ppl that i can do it. Thank gawd durin the implementation day, everything went smoothly wihtout any hiccups. My supervisor was happy, my boss seems ok with the job, and yes, i too feel happy that i can do it, and embracing for more assignmentsnt to come in future...Bring it ON!!!

On the other side, my parttime classes was pretty norm pace. did my usual classes. Don't think there was anything worth bloggin about accept maybe a small request crop up during one of my class. U guys know how the programme that i am doing tends to update every quarter. But then sometims, member who r soooo gung-ho about certain classes, they tend to go every classes that is schedule. And here where the problem starts to crop-up. Member does the same old movement, same old song, over n over again. At one point member felt is kinda boring for them. And the next thing you know, u will have questions eg. "Eh, what song r u teaching today ah?" hitting directly at your face. Now, i am one of those ppl who have encountred such incident lately. How do i answer them in return? We, as instructors, only done the release like a month?, and member already ask to change. Some even said, "oh, other instructors already started to mix liow...". Here it really starts to piss me off. So, other instructors have started to mix, am i suppose to follow suit? I personally don't really give a "beep" about it. I will still do the same release. Not gonna stop another week, Not another two weeks, but until the NEXT release has launch!! So eat this!!!! ;pppppp

Yeah!! U know what...i think i am gonna use this last 3 words for my title for this blog....heheheh :)

Update: on a different note, my friend brother is progressing well. Shifted out from the ICU. Now recuperating in a normal ward. Still unconsious, but atleast he is responding to ppl around him. Such a relieve to hear that. Imagine as friend i am feeling so happy to hear that. U can imagine how my friend feels, and we are talking bout close-knit brothers. Stay strong mate, your brother will go thru this phase swiftly.

Dreadful Monday

Is already first week of April 2006. Wow!! how time flies. Just a blink of an eye, is already 2nd quarter of 2006. Looking back at the last 3 months, what have we all achieved? Or should i say, what have i acheived? Well, i think i did achieved something. I won't say alot, but then is something that a person at my age (considered too late) will do when they reach to that stage.

1. Got myself a property. Initially encountered lots of hiccups with the banks espeacially. But finally i managed to get it settledown and now i am a proud owner of a condominium. Not like i am gonna move in any sooner, since the property will only be ready in 3 years down the road. Already scouting furnitures and browsing magazines to see how to beautify the place. hhahah. So kiasu right....Will definately be one of my agenda to blog about this portion. Infact i have already taken some pictures of the development of the property (now at early phase). Will post those pictures once i hve the camera with me.

2. Cleared my credit card debt. Yeap. I have finally cleared my dept. After all these while, paid my final outstanding amount to the bank. No more credit card for me. Is like a big rock just lifted off from my shoulder. To me, that is a really big achievement. Never want to have the idea of having to owe bank the entire life! Is like working for them at the end of the day....slaves!!!

Today is one of those days that i feel very lazy to do anything. Was practically draggin myself to come to work these afternoon. Right now, the whole department left me alone. My colleague has gone for holiday. And left me alone here tonight all by myself...hmmmm....counting the time to pass...tick tock tick tock.......

On another note, my closed friend since primary school, is going thru a rough situation now. My heart really sank when i pay a visit to his small brother last weekend in the hospital. Makes me think how fragile a person body can be. One day you are jumping up n down like a monkey, the next thing you know, u can be bedridden in the hospital with one wrong footing. To tell u guys the truth, i might be projecting like i am one of the toughy guys in person, but really inside me, i am very emotional weak person to some certain extend. I tend to weep when watch those tearjerkers movies, i will get emotionally down when i see something bad happend. Even worse, when u have a closed friend is going thru a tough situation. My heart really sank when i saw my friends brothers. I almost really can't hold back the tears..But for the sake of my friend, i ahve to stay strong for him. I am sure your brother will be alright eventually. Just stay focus and everything will fine at the end of the day. You'll have me and the rest to lend you the support that u need right now. We will be here for you mate, anyday, anytime!
