What De Tuck ??

As promise, here i am, back to the blogging land. After a long long absence with so many holidays and new years and holiday, guess is back to real world. Ofcourse if you are chinese ethnic like myself, the biggest holiday season of all is just right under the corner somewhere...very near to be precise, less than a month!!! So obviously you do not wanan get yourself sick else you won't able to enjoy the festive season. Which is what brings me to blog about today.

Yeap, i was i was sick for the past couple of days. What sick you guys must be asking. Well, lets just say is something new to me, well, atleast it is new to me, never heard of the term "Heatstroke". Fever, yes, sick, yes, bad cough, bad flu, yes....but Heatstroke???!?!??! Me so strong (in physical look lar..hehe), a instructor, who does classes night and day and day and night, sometimes back 2 back classes as well, yet, i can succumb to such sickness....Sounds major don't you think? for the benefit of those of you readers who have no idea what "heatstroke" all about, i have checked out the ever-famous-know-it-all the wikipedia site and this is what i got...

"Hyperthermia (hyperpyrexia), in its advanced state referred to as heat stroke or sunstroke, is an acute condition which occurs when the body produces or absorbs more heat than it can dissipate. It is usually due to excessive exposure to heat. The heat-regulating mechanisms of the body eventually become overwhelmed and unable to effectively deal with the heat, and body temperature climbs uncontrollably. This is a serious medical emergency that requires immediate medical attention.

Progression
Body temperatures above 40 °C (104 °
F) are life-threatening. At 41 °C (106 °F), brain death begins, and at 45 °C (113 °F) death is nearly certain. Internal temperatures above 50 °C (122 °F) will cause rigidity in the muscles and certain, immediate death.
Heat stroke may come on suddenly, but usually follows a less-threatening condition commonly referred to as heat exhaustion or heat prostration"

Sound serious or not i tell you?? Don't play play yoh. That was exactly what i have gone thru the first day when it hit me. I can still remember, in the morning, i did my usual Attack class. Furthermore i dind't even give the member to rest abit, finished the whole 12 tracks less than 50 mins....waaaa cheh....Then rush home, shower and getting ready to drive to work. Driving time already realised the weather for that day was obviously hotter than any other days. So drive all teh way to office. By the time i reach the office carpark, i was practically can't wait to rush up to the office, but the heat was just too bearable, have to detour to get myself a coke to cool me down. After that was telling my colleague how hot the weather was. Then as usual, did myself, had minum session with my kaki round tea time. Even had pisang goreng ...hiak!!...The moment i came back from the minum session, there the symptom starts. Felt dizzy, can feel your skin being poke by needle....as time goes by, i felt alittle worst, then decided hmmm...i think i have fever...whole body hot and cold...So decided to drive back home. Took a nap, later at night woke up, very major headache. Ask mom for panadol, pop two tablets....Bout thirty mins down the road, i feel like the whole world is gona crumbling down infront me. Know is not a good sign, ask my mom to fetch me to the clinic, u know lar, MC next day mar, u think i really wanan see doctor meh...hehehe. When the Dr did a tempreture check on me....First thing came out from his mouth "Took you so long to come and see me??" I was like..."huh? secuse me? (still in daze mode mar). U r almost hitting a heatstroke men!! I was again like..."wat? what heatstroke ni?" Fever fever lar...heatstorke pulak...."Do you know if u were any later than this, it might BURN UP your brain men!!!".......Wat lau eh.....that really woke me up yoh!! hahaha...Didn't know nowaday doctor say such thing to patient. I tot they should say something nice to make patient stay calm and relax....Caya that doctor. What happened next was just humourous to say the least. The doctor told the nurse to go to the next door 7-Eleven and buy some ice-cube back. I was like ....WHAT?????

Apparently, i need to be "cooldown".......And thats the only way on a short notice. So went the nurse to the next door 7-Eleven. Came back we five packs of ice-cubes....Pour into the big basin they have and ask me to put my both feet into it.......Wat lau eh....drama or not i tell u ???? All this while, my mom was waiting outside in the car, and she has no idea what is going on. After 1omins or so soaking my whole damn leg into the basin, i was told to take off my leg from the basin.....Ppl, i could hardly feel my leg yoh.........so freaking numb and red!!! Got the medicine, went into my mom car, mom was asking high and low question, why so long ah, what dr say ah, how come the nurse go buy ice-cube ah.....And all i could mutter out from my mouth was..Fever!, lets go home! .......hiak!!!!

So ppl, don't think you r so the powderfull yoh, we r still a fragile human being, anytime can be hit by any sickness, so pls yah...take good care of your well-being...Esp this kinda weather lately... Obviously i am still alive now lar, else how am i to blog this right :).........
